I don’t know why. But I like this picture.
Though I think I’d hate it a lot if there was a head.

well i’m canadian im not sure the prices but we do have them here. i guess i will when this semester of college is over and i pay off my loans. thanks for the protips buddy

Ohh, Canadians.

Definitely get one, they’re pretty legit. I would say with their level of easiness it’s not “This is how much I know.” but more “I care enough to actually go through with this.”

And colleges like to know you care about your education enough to do it.

ahhh well i never bothered with getting a GED. i should probably get one for the shits and giggles though. good idea.

Dude what why not it’s like. I dropped out of middle school and didn’t learn anything else and I passed easily.

America is dumb and they know it, and it could be free to take where you are ($10 I think for me, but hear it can go up to $50)

luckyyyyy. i dropped out of highschool so art universities wouldn’t take me. community college computer nerdism it was.

Really? ‘cause I dropped out of middle school and got my GED and even Harvard would take me (I mean in the sense that they take people with GEDs, not that I applied).

Raspberry Blackberry Pear Mini Tarts

Mish-mash recipe that I don’t feel like typing out properly, sorry.

Ingredients:

Fruit:

  • 2.5c frozen or fresh blackberries
  • 2.5c frozen or fresh raspberries
  • About 5, plus or minus one, anjou pears, peeled and pared (pare the pears, gettit?)
  • 1tbsp sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Ground cloves

Pastry:

  • 2c sifted flour
  • 0.5tsp salt
  • 0.5c oil (such as vegetable or canola, NOT olive oil good gracious no)
  • 0.25c water (or soy/milk, if you’d prefer)

Directions:

Tarts:

  • Preheat oven to 475F
  • Mix flour and salt, add oil and water/milk in a measuring cup and pour over flour together; mix with fork until moist and not sticky
  • Roll out dough (best done 1/2 amount of dough at a time) rather thin, between two sheets of wax paper
  • Cut out small rounds with a cookie cutter or appropriately sized drinking glass rim
  • Place dough rounds either in a mini tart pan or similar (a muffin tin is deep and narrow, which will work if you have nothing else), stab the bottom once or twice with a fork to let steam escape
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes and cool

Fruit:

  • In separate pots, cook the fruits, adding:
  • 1tbsp sugar to the raspberries
  • 0.25tsp ground cloves to the blackberries
  • 0.5-1tsp cinnamon to the pears (and water, because they don’t really juice-out and will just caramelize and burn on the bottom of the pan)
  • Cook until pears are soft and berries have tried losing their colors (they’ll soak it back up as you let them sit in their juices) and let cool
  • Spoon fruit separately (avoiding the excess berry juice) into tart shells (or mix them all together, though it’d get really pink-red from the raspberries)

Sticking the filling in the fridge overnight will help thicken it, should it need it.

Can be made separately the night before, assemble just before serving for best results (or the tarts get soggy).

Should make ~24, depending on the size of your pans and how thin you roll it out (don’t be afraid to do it too thin, it puffs up a bit in the oven)

More reasons to hate everything, today, my job, and people.

Up till 2am making tarts

Wake up at 7am

Go to work at 8am, it’s cold

Get gypped at work: 6 hours or more is supposed to have a 30 min break (so you normally are scheduled 6.5 hours). I was scheduled 6 hours, so no 30 minute break because if I took it I wouldn’t have worked 6 hours.

I couldn’t find the wire I wanted there, or in another craft store, so had to pay a ton for 300ft (way too much) of it at Home Depot

That was around 4:00 to 4:30, and I’d sat down for about 10 minutes the entire day since 8am

My coworkers are stupid

My boss is stupid

And someone threw a cup at me while I was walking down the street going home.
